Autism Outreach Project

Welcome to the home of the Autism Outreach Project, a State Needs Project through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction in collaboration with the Infant Toddler Early Intervention Program of the Department of Social and Health Services and Northwest Educational Service District 189.
 
Purpose
To develop a state-wide system in which identification, program development, placement, and staff development activities are coordinated to appropriately serve school districts, parents, agencies, and students with autism spectrum disorders throughout the state of Washington, in order to improve the educational outcomes of these students.
 
Services
The Autism Outreach Project provides information, dissemination of demographic data, referrals, and training on best practices in identification and program development for students with autism spectrum disorders to Washington families, schools, and agencies.
Books, videos, and DVDs available for
loan.

Demographic data collected and compiled annually showing the distribution of
children with autism spectrum disorders throughout the State of Washington.
